Canvassing in the steep hills of Little Italy can be hard on the legs, but there is so much too see!! The old Saint Catherine Hospital, where I was born, is now a large apartment complex called Dahlman Flats. So, what is the biggest concern that people have about OPPD? You guessed it! Rates. Many people are struggling with higher prices for food and gas. So the last thing they need is to pay more for their electricity. Yet OPPD just raised their rates by 6% for residential customers. Load growth in the OPPD service area has increased modestly for residential and commercial customers, but exploded for large industrial data center customers. My pledge to you, if I get elected to the OPPD Board, is to prevent the infrastructure buildout for data centers from getting passed on to you.
